Prohibited Sponsorship

What is "prohibited sponsorship"?

Prohibited sponsorship is a person, organization, or business that gives money or donates products and services to another person, organization, or even in exchange for puclic recognition.

Why do we have prohibited sponsorship?

We have prohibited sponsorship because it attracts more people to go out and either get that product or for example increase the number of fans attending a game.

Should we?

Yes we should because the sponsor makes for example the athlete more known or the athlete makes the product more known.

My thoughts about prohibited sponsorhip are that they are a great way to expose new products and make them more popular and bring them into the entertainment world so everyone can see who has wat sponsor and who is the spokesperson for the product they're being sponsored by.

Rock Band Project

With this project I somewhat learned how it would be to have a rock band and set up all the promotion items to get good sells. I learned how to work with a group better as well. The marketing mix was involved by promoting sales with cd's t-shirts and concert tour posters and our lethal juice tour bus. The products was done by cd's and backstage passes and other lethal accessories. The prices were low for our concerts and our cd's were cheap. The ticket prices for the concerts started at $12 to $35 depending on where you want to sit. There was also a $50 backstage pass you could buy to meet the band. We were able to distribute ourselves by traveling on the tour bus and performing live to our audience's. Our target market was teenage to mid-age people who love heavy metal music. We used the 7 key functions of marketing by designing a cool logo and band name with product/service management. We used distribution by making concert posters and t-shirts to push our market around the country. We sold c'ds, shirts, and backstage passes to our concerts.

my thoughts

The project was a very fun experience and it helped me with teamwork even more. I like working with Danielle and Clarence because we had fun creating names for certain things and finding cool pictures to put on our wiki page. I liked our logo because it fits the name Lethal Juice perfectly. Also one of the first things we did was our picture and that was actually better than i expected. As a team we found the best picture to fit our image of "rock stars". As the days went on to work on the project we decided we could help each other out by seperating the work to make it easier for us and to use our time wisely. One of my favorite assignments i worked on was creating the tour bus. It was so simple but kind of fun to edit the bus and make it "lethal". My teammates worked hard on their assignments and without them none of this would have been as successful as it did. We finished everything on time and didnt really have any big problems, a few times we discussed what way something should have been done but we found a way to make it work so that all three of us could be happy. So in conclusion i must say that this project was a really great experience in so many ways and I would love to do it again.

Band Project

The project is going pretty well right now. We are all working hard together and getting it done. We are on pace and havent slacked up. My group and I have basically split up the work evenly and havent had any problems. Right now the project is very fun because we got to come up with a band name and member names and all that fun stuff. We took a band picture as well and edited it to make it look more rockstar. So for now thats about it for the band project.

Focus Group

My favorite thing to do was the taster for the sodas. It was fun because we got to drink sodas in class and try to guess which one is which and then which one has the best flavor. What we had to do was drink soda #1 then eat a cracker to rinse out the taste, then drink soda #2 and do the same and the same for soda #3. My favorite was soda #3 and it happened to be store bought coke. I had a fun time doing this activity and I would like to do it again sometime.

billboard

I had a great time working on this project because I had a good partner who was willing to share the work 50/50. It felt as if I were really apart of a political team trying to promote this product for the canidate. At first my partner Thien-Song and I were only going to do regular shoes, but we found a great shoe that had Barack Obama's face on it. So we had to use it and after that we started to choose shoes with USA colors to represent him and our product. It came out to look great and it was fun to create a price and websites for our product. I had a fun experience with this project thinking outside of the box and it's good to express yourself with these type of things. So in conclusion my experience with it was fulfilling.
